The Difference is In the Details
Visit any Rae-Ann facility and you'll see and feel the difference family-owned makes. From the welcoming entrance lobbies to the tastefully decorated rooms and tranquil gardens and courtyards, you'll know this is a place that feels like home, a place where people care. You'll see the difference in the details, and you'll find it in the faces and hearts of the people you meet at Rae-Ann.
In-House Bakery
When they think of "home," many people recall the great smells and tastes of delicious foods. That's why we take the preparation and presentation of our meals so seriously.
In addition to home-cooked meals, we operate our own in-house bakery that provides residents with scrumptious fresh-baked breads, cookies, desserts, and pastries every day.
Community Building Activities
Arts and crafts, daily exercise, baking, family nights, musical performances, special outings, and guest visitors...they're all a part of the Rae-Ann experience. Activities are planned to meet the individual needs of each resident. While some activities foster a sense of independence, others promote socialization, stimulate creativity, and encourage reminiscing. To the extent they are able, all residents are encouraged to participate in at least one activity each day.
In addition, social events such as parties, contests, and open houses provide a special opportunity to connect with the community. Holidays are a magical time at Rae-Ann, and all residents are encouraged to partake in seasonal decorating and get-togethers.
"Just Like Home" Dining
Our residents deserve the best and dining is no exception. Our chefs use fresh, in-season ingredients to prepare delicious meals and offer menus that cycle every six weeks to avoid repetition.
Residents enjoy all meals in our inviting dining rooms, often to the sounds of live piano music or the crackling of a hearth fire. Entrees are individually plated and served restaurant-style on china by servers.
And, because we all "eat with our eyes first," the food at Rae-Ann looks as good as it tastes. Even pureed food is given special attention, prepared by our own "Designer Cook" in food-shaped molds to ensure an appealing presentation.
In addition to three main meals each day, we offer early-rising residents a continental breakfast and nutritious evening snacks for all.
Family Members Become a Part of Our Team
Unique to our program at Rae-Ann is our belief that family involvement, careful evaluation, individualized care plans, and an interdisciplinary team approach are essential to successful rehabilitation. This team approach has been the hallmark of our success in assisting residents in reaching their goals for rehabilitation and transitioning home.
The involvement begins right at admission, when Rae-Ann staff sit down with the resident and his or her family members to share care details and expectations. When it's time for the resident to return home or back to assisted living, we work with you and your family throughout the transition process and beyond.
Families are also encouraged to visit at any time, 24 hours a day, and are welcome to participate in as many resident activities and gatherings as they wish.
Consistently Lauded by Residents & Families
We regularly survey our residents and their families about their Rae-Ann experience and they always give us the highest marks. In our most recent Family Satisfaction survey, 100% of respondents felt our nurses were compassionate, friendly, and approachable; 100% felt the Rae-Ann staff maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis; 94% felt that we had met their family's expectations since the day of admission; and the good news goes on. If you're interested, ask to see the full survey results.
Tasteful, Home-Like Surroundings
Thoughtfully selected, non-institutional furnishings and soothing decor provide a restful and pleasant setting for residents and visitors alike. Each facility has its own distinct character, incorporating the use of color, wall coverings, artwork, and architectural details to reflect its individual personality.
Delightful common areas abound for visiting with friends and family, reading, or watching television. High ceilings and large windows bring in an abundance of natural light.
All rooms are spacious, comfortable, and handsomely decorated. Private and semiprivate rooms are available, and all feature an emergency call system and cable television; some offer Internet access as well. Daily housekeeping and laundry services are provided, salon and barber services are available, and nondenominational religious services are held weekly.
Outdoors, lovely, award-winning gardens and private courtyards add beauty and a sense of tranquility.
